Obituary for Floyd "Junnie" Hurst Jr.
Floyd “Junnie” Hurst Jr., 75, of Middletown, husband of Joyce Hurst, died Monday, January 23, 2017. He was born in Louisville May 27, 1941 the son of the late Floyd & Dora Mae Helm Hurst Sr.
Floyd had been a HVAC Tech with Automatic Air and more recently with Prudential.
Besides his wife of 57 years he leaves to cherish his memory 2 daughters, Theresa Nation (Ricky) and Pamela Sue Hurst, 5 sons, Floyd Michael Hurst (Patty), Charles Frederick Hurst (Debbie)Douglas DeWayne Hurst (Linda), Bobby Joe Hurst (Connie) and Ricky Cook (Cathy). 11 grandchildren, Jerry, Jason, Ashley, Stephen, Allison, Katie, Crystal, Bobby Jr., Brandon, Alex & Wendy and several great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Rosie May Wright & Betty Hurst and 2 brothers, Bobby & Joe.
A service celebrating Floyd’s life will be held 11:00 AM Friday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11601 Ballardsville Rd. Visitation will be from 11 to 8 Thursday at the funeral home.
