Condolence: Well G this is not the easiest thing I've ever written. I'm gonna catch up to you up on Rainbow Ridge in the near future. I just want you to know that it is an honor to have known you. All those nights at 77th Street. Of all of the great things you did as a Policeman, the thing I remember most is the gigantic heart you had. Always the friend of kids and the less fortunate. Always the friend of fellow officers during the ups and downs of police work. There are no words that could ever cover all the good things that you did for your fellow man. Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Gary at 77th Street, when I was a new Sergeant. Gary was an outstanding cop. He and Fritz McDowell were an amazing team. As a sergeant, Gary made my job very easy. When I rolled on a shooting or homicide, Gary would have the scene well in hand. Just a great guy. This is truly a tragedy. I pray that Jesus would comfort you during this extremely difficult time.

Condolence: I worked in 77th Division with Gary from the late 70's until his retirement. He was a great policeman, mentor, roll model, and a friend to all. He was sorely missed by the officers and citizens who knew him upon his departure and will certainly be missed by family and others whose lives he touched. Clancy
