Eugene Woodard, 81, husband to Estella Dorsey Woodard, passed away at home on Saturday April 21, 2018. He was born to the late Hugh D., Sr. and Katie (Ladd) Woodard in West Helena, Arkansas on April 6, 1937. He is, also, preceded in death by a brother, Hugh D. Woodard, Jr.
Gene was an assembler for Huffy Bicycles.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Shenola “Cookie” Gause (Tim), three grandchildren, one great-grandchild along with sisters, Burnie Cohran, Ophelia Robinson, Carrie Mabrey, Clemmiestean Kirkwood and step-brother, Freddie Walker.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held from 1 to 3 Sunday at the funeral home.
