Condolences

Condolence From: Jackie Worley
Condolence: I will be thinking of all of John’s family and friends next Sunday, May 27th. I will also be thinking of myself as I, too, miss and love John. I carry his picture in my phone and I introduce him to everyone new to Pickleball that I can. I say he was my Pickleball coach. I’ve talked about him in other states where I’ve played. He was so loved by our Pickleball community. As long as I live, I will never forget him and beyond that, when I continue to live in Heaven, he will be there, playing Pickleball, no doubt. He was one of a kind and we were all blessed to have known him and be known by him, as he treated everyone as if they were his very favorite.

Condolence From: Don & Marie Freeman
Condolence: Sorry for you loss. We have great memories of John. He touched many people young and old in a very appositive manner. He would win a ball game by 20 plus points and still have a team meeting after to fuss a little at the girls. Than he would give them and Dennis his big smile and all was ok. Most people that knew John loved him. I sure did. He will be missed. Don Freeman

Condolence From: Pam Owens
Condolence: We were so sad to hear of John's passing. It's been over 30 years since we've seen him but we have wonderful memories playing basketball and whiffle ball with him on Circle Lake. We remember his competiveness when playing any sport but also how nice he always was. While we know John is in a better place, we pray for his family as they deal with such a devastating loss. Condolence From: Jackie Worley
Condolence: I first heard of Pickleball last summer and was encouraged to go play with the beginners at Sawyer. From the moment I walked in, there was John who came to me and began teaching. He was so friendly and from then on, I came every week. He never forgot my name and, as the same with every one, made me feel special, as if he were so glad I came, every time. He was funny, kind, fun loving...so many good adjectives I could add. I tear up just thinking of Pickleball without him. I challenged him to a game recently. He stared at me for a moment as if he couldn't believe I, a beginner, would challenge him, a champion. Of course, he beat me handily, but not bad. He was kind in his playing and took it easy on me. He was that kind of guy. I will NEVER forget him. He is unforgettable! So glad I knew him. So very very sorry for your loss and sorry for all of us who knew him. May God's love and comfort envelope all of us.
