William T. “Bill” White Jr., 80, husband of Charlotte Wray White, died Monday, June 27, 2016 at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was born in Lynchburg, Virginia May 30, 1936 the son of the late William T. & Nellie Carwile White. Bill was a member of Ninth & O Baptist Church and was an Ordained Deacon at Central Baptist Church in Decatur, Alabama. Besides working in finance at General Electric he had been Vice President & Treasurer of Finance at Lanson Industries in Alabama.
Besides his wife of nearly 62 years he leaves to cherish his memory 2 sons, Bill (Debbie) & Brian White, 5 grandchildren, Jessica & Billy White, Alysse White Gregory, Aaron Keith White and Emily Faith White. 2 great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his grandaughter, Julie White Boyd and sister, Neva Russell.
A service celebrating Bill’s life will be held 2:00 pm Friday, July 1, 2016 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11601 Ballardsville Road, with Revs. Tommy Sims and Brian White officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am Friday until service time.
