Obituary for Robert R Pack

Bob Pack, 76, of Crestwood, KY, returned to his Heavenly Father unexpectedly on Thursday May 26, 2016.
While serving in the US Army, Bob earned the Distinguished Rifleman award in 1962…one of only 3275 soldiers (currently) since its inception in 1884. In addition, Bob received numerous trophies, medals, and badges for his shooting skills, including being ranked #1 in the world in sharp-shooting.
Bob retired from Ecolab after 30 years, and after receiving many awards for his Sales and Service skills.
Anyone that knew Bob knew that he lived on his own terms…hard-headed, always trying to “poke the bear”, generous to a fault. He never said “no” to someone in need, whether that be financially or other assistance.
He loved vintage cars, woodworking, RVing, boating, fishing, and his family. He was so proud of his wife of 55 years, three children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren…he had ten “lights of his life” that meant the world to him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Florence Pack, and sister Gloria Walker.
He will always be loved and sorely missed by the love of his life, his wife, Janice; daughter Tara Shontz (Jon); sons Bobby (Lisa) and Bradley; grandchildren Meagan Castello, Cori Castello, Joshua Pack (Rebecca), and Jonathan Shontz (Megan); great-grandchildren Lily-Anne Castello and Bronson Baumberger; twin brother Alfred Pack (Geri) and Terry Pack (Shirley); and a host of other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, one of Bob’s favorite charities.
