Obituary for Regina A. "Bunny" Flaherty

Regina “Bunny” Flaherty, 74, of Newburgh, IN passed away at 10:53 am, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at her home.

Bunny was born October 5, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Joseph, Sr. and Laura (Hughes) Booth. She was a devout member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Bunny was a Hall of Fame member of the GEUSBCA, a board member and an avid bowler. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by children, James Flaherty (Terri) and Kathy Layman (Michael), of Newburgh, Dorothy Feistel (Greg) and Marcy Brookes (Craig), of Evansville and Ricky Flaherty (Kelly) of Oakland City, IN; siblings, Leslie Orthober (Leo) and William Booth (Patsy), of Louisville, KY and Robert Booth (Faye) of Elizabethtown, KY, 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 57 years, Larry J. Flaherty in July 2015 and brother, Joseph Booth, Jr. Mass will be held in celebration of Regina’s life will be held at 10 am, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh with Father Tom Kessler officiating. Private Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens, Louisville, KY.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Riley’s Hospital for Children, 702 Barnhill Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46202.
